After the next financial budget, approaching women may no longer be free, thanks to a
controversial new Approaching Bill.
For every woman you approach, you may now have to pay an Approaching Tax of Rs.3000
Shocked at hearing the news, I rushed to New Delhi to confirm this with the finance minister himself.
Here are excerpts from my interview with the F.M.

Shiva : “Is it true that there will be a Rs.3000 tax levied on approaching women? Why?!”
FM : “Why not? Rs.3000 is peanuts considering you might end up with a fabulous woman
who may become your girlfriend, your wife or even your soulmate!”
Shiva : “Sure, but what if the girl I approach is not available. What if she already has a boyfriend or
is not single or not interested? Do I then get a refund on the tax I paid?”
FMÂ : “So what if you didn’t get the girl. Didn’t that approach help you? Didn’t it make you less shy,
less hesitant to approach the next girl? Didn’t that increase your chances of success with the next
approach? Didn’t that get you closer to finding a fabulous woman?”
Shiva : “Absolutely”
FM : “Then why ask for a refund?”
Shiva : “But sir, what if a guy wants to approach more than 5 girls a day, everyday? He’d have to fork
out Rs.15,000 daily. That’s Rs. 4.5 Â lakhs a month! Most guys can’t afford that!
FM : “4.5 lakhs is nothing if you meet an amazing woman at the end of it. But don’t worry (smiles)
most guys don’t approach that many girls. In fact, our survey shows that most guys don’t approach
at all. So the majority of men will be paying zero approaching taxes.”
Shiva : “But…”
FM : “You’ll have to excuse me now, I have a meeting to attend.”
